Moving to a New Site

Readers,

I am in the process of moving the blog.  In approximately two weeks you will find my name as a "dot com" and a new focus on hard-hitting  "Swofford Commentary".

It is my goal to move into the style of journalism similar to what I provided for Daily Times Pakistan. My final commentary for them was titled, quite simply, "Water".

Send out a scouting party via a search engine and continue to follow along as you have the time. I wish to provide a quality journalism product which will make you think.  In the end, what I write is also meant to showcase the care with which I handle a liberty which is most dear to me - that of freedom of expression.  This liberty has both rights and responsibilities.  I always consider the burden of responsibility greater than my right to be heard.

God bless each of you.  God bless America.

See you in a couple of weeks!

Smiling,

Tammy Swofford

The Secret Service Abroad: Solicitation of Prostitutes in a Tier 1 Nation for Human Trafficking

"....sexual slavery is a crime....it is an affront to our values." SecState Hillary Rodham Clinton

The Secret Service is careful to note that the prostitutes involved with U.S. Secret Service agents were not underage. This is the frame. Let me paint the picture:

If you will pull up the third link and move to the country narrative, Colombia is a "Tier 1" nation for human trafficking of women and children. This means that Colombia is "a major source for women and girls subjected to sex trafficking...."

Many adult female prostitutes were enslaved as young girls to enter the sex trafficking trade. As young girls, they provide oral sex for pedophiles. As young adult women, they provide the full menu of options for their clients, and a fistful of U.S. dollars for their captors.

Secretary of State Clinton calls sexual slavery a crime. A "3P" paradigm exists to deal with the problem.

President Obama states he is "angry".

How many of the prostitutes solicited by our Secret Service agents began their careers as little girls snatched off the street, traveling across borders from man-to-man and then brothel-to-brothel?

I would prefer our President declare a National Day of Prayer. Our nation needs to repent for what went down in Colombia with uniformed officers of our government with women who have possibly been enslaved in a vile and vibrant commercial space.

Things look good on paper. The reality, is ugly.

I would like a strong, non-hypocritical message regarding the state of our government and its people.

Secret Service Scandal: Asking the Obvious Questions

With the breaking news of the Secret Service scandal, I went through a list of questions:

* What is the proximity of the ties between prostitution and narco-traffic in Cartagena?

* Were the drug cartels aware of the Secret Service agents at the club? Of course.

* Was cocaine use part of the package to heighten sexual pleasure with prostitutes?

* How many of the men are married and with children? The HIV virus can indeed trump the
use of a condom.

* Where was the one voice of caution? Not one sentinel to sound an alarm?

* Was the unit chain of command asleep on their watch? Or were they the party planners?

My Commander-in-Chief was put at risk. Some things, must not be forgiven.

What other questions come to your mind? Talk back. This remains a free speech zone.

The Los Angeles Times: Images which Show the Depravity of Journalists

My commitment to my readership has been firm. I do not post graphic images of war and violence.

I have viewed it all.... and with much sorrow.

* Brutal beheadings of Americans and foreign nationals
* Videos of our men being blown up by IED's
* Images taken of our men in the back of ambulances, howling in pain
* Our men with missing limbs being loaded onto stretchers
* Our men with tears in their eyes at the funeral of their brother
* Asymmetrical battle spaces where the unseen enemy strikes with violent force

The images posted by the Los Angeles Times do not show the depravity of our troops.

The purposeful release of the images merely show the depravity and dismemberment of a professional press corps.

This site will remain clean, ethical, professional and involved in solid analysis on small scale. We will discuss things. But it will be with decency and not indecency.

God Bless our Troops.

Let me say it again.

God Bless our troops.

Secret Service Sex Scandal

President Obama relieved General Stanley McChrystal of his duty for "poor judgment" in giving an interview to Rolling Stone magazine.

Will he relieve Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan of his duty for his ultimate responsibility for the lax environment which made the sex scandal in Cartagena a front page, above-the-fold reality?

Do the drug cartels own the prostitutes? Was our POTUS placed in a position of enormous risk to his personal safety?

The Secret Service Scandal: Dan Emmett Misses the Point

Exiting stage right: Cartagena's Dirty Dozen

Exiting stage left: Five members of the U.S. military

Dan Emmett misses the point in addressing the negligible risk of future blackmail because of the solicitation of prostitutes by members of the advance party tasked with securing the physical spaces being used by the POTUS.

The primary issue is a sloppy chain of command. One rogue agent I can understand. One rogue military officer is certainly possible. But sixteen accused of heavy drinking (unsubstantiated report) and solicitation of prostitutes? (verified report) Now we have a weakness in the chain of command.

Mr. Emmett does admit that "things" can happen on these glorious little taxpayer-funded road trips. He is a former Marine and a Secret Service veteran.

I remember the warning given with strict consequences when part of the Advance Party for WATC02. (Ghana, W. Africa) Any solicitation of prostitutes would cause new orders to be cut and the member would be sent back to CONUS. We were in the hotel for five days until the main body arrived in Accra. And we spent a couple nights at the end of the mission in the same hotel.

I noted a rather lonely prostitute in the bar area one evening. She was eating french fries covered with ketchup and drinking a glass of white wine. A poor pairing of food and beverage. But I think she also was poorly prepared for the lack of business provided by our team.

Possibly men cavorting with prostitutes does not imply a blackmail risk. But it certainly presents as a security risk to the POTUS.

The Secret Service chain of command, top-to-bottom, deserves an examination. On the witness stand, eleven men who felt the corporate culture sufficiently lax to get away with their antics. If there is one thing I know about chain of command it is this: Fear of reprisal for misdeeds locks all vertebrae in place - all the way to the top - all the way to the primary nerve center. Is this incident solitary in nature? I doubt it.

Taliban Releases Their 25th Professional Propaganda Video

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has released the 25th video from their audio-visual emirate.

If I have to explain how a production studio can be titled an emirate, you haven't done your homework by reading of ancient primary texts.

I do not release jihad propaganda into the public corridor. I consider it an act of poisoning. But this video is incredibly good with excellent use of a combination footage and graphics.

The video was filmed in Laghman province, Afghanistan. It is a series of explosive booms against military convoy, convoy targets. One of the interesting aspects is a news banner which will move across the screen showing a graphic of a vehicle traveling along and exploding. It is followed with the footage of the actual convoy.

On the lower right side of the film, the graphic of a hand holding a cell phone will appear with a countdown showing. The viewer will hear the dial tone of the phone. The explosion, will follow. This is all about creating an adrenaline rush.

Excellent use of time-lapse video is also employed to keep the viewer on the edge of their seats.

Another graphic to increase viewer enjoyment has been in use for some time. A red arrow will note the vehicle in the convoy which is about to be blown up.

This is the 25th official video of the Taliban. It is fifty-five minutes in length. It is meant to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Approximately 5,000 individuals were logged onto the site this morning.

How many of them felt a surge of empowerment after viewing this latest propaganda film? How many, have been brainwashed?

The Secret Service: Allegations of Misconduct in Cartagena

He is my Commander-in-Chief.

His safety and that of the First Family is of paramount importance to our nation.

The allegations are that his security detail has been involved in professional misconduct.

He is my Commander-in-Chief.

His life should not be put at risk by the unprofessional actions of those who have been assigned the duty to protect his life and limb.

Mali: Collapse of Government and Rise of the Clerics

When you lose your virginity you cannot take it back. Same goes, when 1/2 a nation is swept up into a dark machine after a mere three weeks of very public activity. You can't take it back. It is gone, gone, gone.

A new president takes an oath of office. He threatens a "total war" against Islamist rebels. They now control fifty percent of the terrain of a small nation. Mali is a bit less than twice the size of Texas. The imperial stone in the rebel's crown is Timbuktu.

The correspondent on the ground issues a two page observation to a major jihad portal. The town of Timbuktu is eerily quiet. Nothing breaks the quiet of the town except for the roar of the engines of four wheel drive vehicles. The thugs have arrived. The writer notes the presence of Salafi Arabs in Timbuktu. Supporters of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb are also roaming about.

Let there be fear.

A "field commander" for Desert Media issues a statement:

"We came here to purify the land and apply the rule of Allah...."

This purification involves the standard PR of releasing political prisoners and the sudden appearance of trucks laden with food to hand out zakat to the poor of Timbuktu. It also involves smashing bottles of liquor and shutting down the cool-beverage-on-a-hot-day trade. The correspondent notes a new financial emirate where the markets are completely empty, but "commanders" are busy shaking bags of bottled alcohol to a steady beat and proclaiming victory.

Let there be fear.

Clerics with turbans are bullying women to cover themselves up in a nation where the sweat can form on the brow at the break of dawn. Statues are being chopped, chipped and beheaded.

Virginity gone. But the "pure" will be in charge.

Current Edition of the Official eMagazine of the Taliban

With the latest edition of the Taliban propaganda magazine available, I quickly scanned the images and topics. One article caught my eye: "The Rights of the Dhimmi....". It was not a comprehensive "look" but rather skeletal in nature.

The Seerah of Prophet Muhammad allows for vigorous negotiations from a position of strength. Minus political strength, serious negotiations will not be undertaken with an opponent.

The Talib are surely euphoric. They feel it necessary to announce what "rights" the non-Muslim will have under their rulership in Afghanistan. What they announce is standard jurisprudential fare. Nothing shockingly new. But it is fifty-six pages of slap-dash journalism.

Test of Fire: Election 2012

Readers,

When the government can force a religious organization which has existed for centuries to violate a sensitive tenet of their faith, how long will it be until you as an individual will face persecution for refusing to violate your own conscience?

I stand with the Catholics today:

The right to life is given by the Creator. We must promote policies which nurture and support new life and deny any advance to a death culture mentality.

Marriage is a covenant blessed by God with recognition that procreative powers are necessary for the survival of mankind. Homosexuals cannot procreate. Marriage cannot be reduced to a contract between same-sex partners. This fence post must not be moved.

Freedom of religion is a Constitutional right. The government has violated the Constitution in demanding that Catholic organizations violate their conscience to provide birth control coverage for their employees.

Vote with conviction and conscience. Cast the vote which denies powerful anti-Constitutionalists the ability to reconfigure the landscape of American culture. Vote for decent people. Vote for those willing to draw the line in the sand. Vote for men and women who embrace the foundational principles which have made us a great nation.

Fear God. And go to the polls.

Vote against those who support:

Abortion
Gay marriage
Stripping of religious conscience from the fabric of our nation.

Those who penned the Constitution recognized the need for basic societal safeguards for the health of society. The current administration, seeks to remove the safeguards and support societal ill and all manner of lifestyle which fray the family, which is the ultimate societal net.

Death by Traditional Means: The Murder of U.K. Businessman Neil Heywood

With Gu Kailai and a Bo household employee now in custody for the suspected murder of U.K. businessman Neil Heywood, the many books of Pearl S. Buck are brought forward from my childhood reading. Court intrigue with subsequent poisoning of despised opponents is crouched within the pages of her dramatic novels.

I pulled _China Flight_ off my shelf this morning. (Triangle Books Edition, published February 1945). The following, is taken from pages 176-177.

"So yesterday he had sauntered down into the city to a certain pharmacy which he knew, and there he asked the old man who kept it what sort of poison could be put into the food so that it would not taste nor kill, but would nauseate the stomach and makes the bowels fluid. The pharmacists looked like one of his own dried herbs, so thin and small and brown was he, and his hansd were stained and wrinkled with his brews. He sucked in his lips over his toothless jaws and considered Ling's question carefully; then he put on his brass-rimmed spectacles and weighed out an ounce of this and a quarter of an ounce of that on his small delicate scales, sifted in some powder between his thumb and finger, wrapped it all up in thick brown paper, put a red slip on the package and gave it to Ling. 'A pinch of this in each meal three times in the same day and the one you wish ill will be busy with himself.'

....Thus it was about that for two days the old woman had struggled against her inner sickness... Yet the time came when her inwards could not be contained, and so twice during the day she had fled from the room to ease herself...."

Was it death by a traditional and ancient Chinese pharmacological art? We will never know. Mr. Heywood's body was conveniently rushed to a crematorium. From forensic evidence to ashes out a smoke stack. How utterly convenient.

April 17 update:

Yep. Cause of death is now being noted as poisoning.

The Uterus Vote: Obama Widens Lead Against Romney

Our president can continue his Soviet-era czarist policies. He can demand that Americans fund a healthcare Behemoth which most of us reject. He can drive policy far left of center into a new galaxy of alien options. Demands on what food our children may consume on school property are o.k. Attacks on institutional religious traditions are o.k.

The weaker sex loves him and will vote based on a single issue: the right to evict the latest occupant residing in the uterus.

President Obama might actually win, because of the "Uterus Vote". It will be a sad commentary, indictment of our culture.

Dallas has three primary abortion clinics. The Routh Street Women's Clinic has the name recognition. But "Abortion Advantage" has a soothing message:

"95% of our patients sleep.... feel nothing, and have no memory of the procedure."

Luckily, Texans have common sense and we have passed a mandatory sonogram law. You may not remember the procedure. But we want you to remember that what was sucked out of your uterus did have a face like your own.

The Uterus Vote goes to Obama. Send up a mighty cheer. Eviction notices in hand, the women will cast their vote.

NBC Edits a 911 Call: Ramping up the Goebbels Propaganda Machine

A witness is an individual who is physically present for an event.

Digital witnesses can be manipulated and unreliable.

NBC edited a 911 call. This is what they wanted us to believe: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black."

Defamation of character was no problem, when wishing to sensationalize a story. NBC did not blink. Ratings are important. The story sizzled when falsified. The organization maligned a man's character to create a racially-charged 911 call to sensationalize a story which is still short on facts. This is trial-by-media. And it is trial which presents falsified evidence.

George Zimmerman was a citizen who made a 911 call because he had an uneasy feeling about the behavior of a man in his neighborhood. He did not identify color until the dispatcher asked him to identify the individual as white, Hispanic or black. He identified behavior, not color.

NBC ramped up the Goebbels propaganda machine for the unwashed masses. May we now wash off the bias and prejudice which made us judge a man based on deliberately falsified information, which was fed to us by a major news organization.

George Zimmerman should sue NBC for defamation of character. May they lose their dirty shorts.

James Oppenheim

Professional colleague and friend, James Oppenheim, is on the page of Daily Times.
Enjoy his thoughts.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy

During my nursing career I have performed high-skill pediatric critical care with two small clients with spinal muscular atrophy. One client resided within a pediatric iron lung in the neuro intensive care unit where I was a staff member. One day this child coded, and life-saving measures failed. I am grateful that I was not working the day this lovely human being passed away.

The second client, was a small baby with a 0 (zero) Shiley tracheostomy tube receiving oxygen and high level critical care at home - within a shabby apartment in the Dallas area.

Spinal muscular atrophy is a rare disorder. So many things receive abundant funding because of massive PR machines. Spinal muscular atrophy does not fall in that category.

But where was the medical expertise to adequately diagnose? A stunning erroneous diagnosis of child abuse cast normal parents as monsters. One bad diagnosis. Two lives destroyed.

Student Maverick Couch: Star T-Shirt Witness, Jesus Christ

Maverick Couch sports a T-shirt at school that Jesus is not a homophobe.
Was this T-shirt, the scenario, and secondary legal action scripted by Lambda?
Just as with the Jessica Ahlquist lawsuit, the whole thing has that familiar sniff of child exploitation.
Disney taught us how to create child stars. They are corporate constructs, carefully managed until they turn into Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber and we no longer have any use for them. Activists, are now using the same model. Nobody gives a damn about a sixty year old gay man wearing a T-shirt proclaiming that Jesus doesn't give a rip about the human condition.
The Cross reminds me of why He came.
I cannot speak for Jesus. But He never stated that He was anything other than the Son of God. Not a community activist. Not a women's advocate. Not a gay advocate. He stated one thing. His message stayed on one track.
Heard of NAMBLA? The organization promotes sexual relationships between men and boys. The members seek to decriminalize their activities. In legal terms, they engage in statutory rape of minors. They want it to be legal to pull a "Sandusky" with your child.
Maverick Couch is a minor male. He is a self-aware gay male, not even yet old enough to vote or drink alcohol. But he's got a fifteen dollar T-shirt. And Lambda has the message on their site.
I cannot speak for Jesus. But I can speak as a parent. Maverick is just the latest manipulated avatar for the powerful gay rights lobby which is not content to live and let live. We must bow to their agenda. We must throw them garlands of flowers. We must discard our personal conviction. We bow to the message on a T-shirt. Graphic as truth.
I refuse to swallow the script. I refuse to feel sorry for an exploited child.

America's "Anatard" Community

Reading a short piece put out by a Western outsource intelligence analyst - part of the Analytical Retardation (Anatard) flank - gave me a little chuckle last week. The author, noted a sudden appearance of a mysterious black flag. The images above, are pulled from one of my dead files of images of the "mysterious" Islamist banner. The banner has been in existence for years.
Rule number one for critical research of jihad images bears mentioning:
Initial analytical observation by the individual analyst is not always equivilent to "discovery". It merely means the analyst has observed something for the first time with their own set of eyeballs.
We must be careful not to date our observations as an inception.
Looking at a couple other reputable counterterrorism sites as of late, I note a staleness and lack of critical thought; lack of forward movement, and merely a backward glance.
Always read with a filter. Research what others write. That includes what I put on the page. Be intelligent, thoughtful and contemplative.
